The West Family Ranch is proud to offer for sale 600 Spayed Heifers for delivery in September. The Ranch is located near Chugwater, Wyoming which is 45 miles north of Cheyenne, Wyoming on I-25.
Half of these Spayed Heifers were purchased from local ranches in and around the Platte County, Wyoming area from December 2007 To April 2008. The rest were purchased from Torrington Livestock Auction from March-April of 2008.
These heifers have been running out on irrigated & native grass all summer long and will weigh 770 lbs by the middle of September. The breakdown of what we have for sale is as follows:
· RFID Tagged Heifers
o Red/Red White Face 70 +/- Hd.
o Black/Black White Face 60 +/- Hd.
o Misc 10 +/- Hd.
· Non RFID
o Charolais/Charolais Cross 40 +/- Hd.
o Red/Red White Face 50 +/- Hd.
o Black/Black White Face 350 +/- Hd.
o Misc Light Reds, Few Grays, Piedmontese Cross 60 +/- Hd.
The heifers were vaccinated by BQA Standards upon arrival with Bovi-Shield Gold 5, Ultrabac 7, One Shot Pasturella, & Dectomax. Sickness has been minimal where we have pasture doctored less than 1% of the group.
The heifers are being sold off the place through private treaty. Terms are flexible but will follow the following guidelines:
· Base Wt: 770 lbs
· Slide: 5 cents over 770 lbs-after 1% Pencil Shrink
· Price: $110/cwt
· Current Location: Ranch, 8 miles West of Chugwater, WY on TY Basin Rd Exit 57 I-25 which is 45 miles North of Cheyenne, WY.
· Frame: Medium-Large Flesh: Medium Est. Wt. Variance: Uneven
· Horns: Less Than 2%
· Feed: Native grass, Vitalix Mineral Tubs (No Urea)
· Delivery: September 15-30 Owner/Buyer Agreement. FOB 5W Ranch Corrals
· Weighing Conditions: Gather from range ASAP, load on buyer’s trucks, haul 8 miles to Chugwater, WY, weigh on trucks w/a 1% Shrink.
· Comments: All Spayed well cared for large set of heifers.
